Hi, y’all! I’m Gabby Ramirez, proud mayor of Crystal Creek and owner of  Cowboy Café.

I was born and raised right here in Crystal Creek and graduated from Crystal Creek High School in 1987. I served in student government all four years, was elected student body president my senior year, and somehow still found time for debate team and National Honor Society. I guess you could say serving this town has always been in my blood.

Speaking of blood, I come from a family of public servants. My daddy served as sheriff for more than thirty years, and these days my son, Deputy Riggs Ramirez, proudly carries on that tradition. Knowing our town is in good hands means more to me than words can say.

Being mayor is one of the greatest honors of my life, but around here most folks know me just as well for the chicken-fried steak and homemade pie at Cowboy Café. Pull up a chair long enough and chances are you’ll leave with a full stomach, a fresh cup of coffee, and a few new friends.

I’m also proud to serve on the Six Days of Texmas Committee. And yes, you heard that right...six days, not twelve.

Years ago, our town decided we’d rather celebrate six unforgettable days than stretch ourselves thin trying to do twelve. That way we can keep our beautiful town square looking its best all year long while still putting on a Christmas celebration folks talk about long after the decorations come down.

From the Reindeer Run to the Boots & Bling Ball, every tradition brings our community together in its own special way. Around here, Christmas isn’t measured by the number of days on the calendar, it’s measured by the memories we make together.

Whether you’re visiting Crystal Creek for the first time or coming back to see old friends, I’m delighted you’re here.

Welcome to our little town.

There’s always room for one more.
