After winning a nationally televised fashion design competition, Bailey Weber returns to her small Texas hometown to help complete a beloved Christmas tradition her late mother once led. But when a wedding dress goes missing and her creativity falters, Bailey finds herself facing the grief she’s long avoided. The Story Behind the Story…

Sew This Is Christmas is inspired by the people and traditions that shaped my life. Growing up in a small East Texas town, the funny, flawed, and resilient people who visited my father’s rural grocery store inspired the heart of Crystal Creek.

The film also honors the women in my family. My grandmother packed parachutes during World War II before becoming an accomplished quilter and seamstress, while my great-grandmother was a professional seamstress known for creating special-occasion dresses. Today, her sewing machine and the family quilts passed down through generations remind me that every stitch carries a story and that legacy is woven throughout this film.
